Hi - I'm Mel and I am looking for a friendly and sociable housemate to share the house I own in Swadlincote. Women preferred - no couples. Please respond by telling me a bit about yourself, your work schedule and how long you're looking to stay for.

I've recently carried out extensive work throughout my home including new bathroom & kitchen, new carpets & flooring throughout, new patio area, decorated all rooms top to bottom. I'm looking for someone who will enjoy and respect my home.

Genuine enquiries only please, no time wasters and strictly non-smoking household. As you will be sharing my home with me and my animals, references & a personality compatibility test will be required (if this seems unusual, please understand that previous negative experiences with certain lodgers makes this, sadly, necessary for me!).

I share my house with two adorable older cats - Queenie and Willow. I'm happy to socialise and a sociable person is preferred over someone who prefers to stay in their room all the time. I respect the need for 'own space' as I need that too! I am looking for an animal lover with an environmental conscience to live here as I'm big on energy saving and recycling.

Lodger's bedroom is newly refurbished with new carpets, double bed, side table, large chest of drawers, and large wardrobe. Gas central heating throughout. Shared downstairs bathroom with bath and shower (recently installed).

I'm a WFH freelancer but I do also travel for work a lot of the time so lodgers can expect to have the house to themselves at certain times, particularly at weekends. If you're home when I'm away, I'd appreciate it if you would take care of the cats for me.

The house is situated near the A42 and A38 giving easy access to the East Midlands motorway network. Within walking distance of Swadlincote town centre and bus station. Great local cycle network and green spaces locally. Plenty of on road parking. Fully equipped brand new kitchen.
