Peaceful, Spacious Room in Detached Peak District

Escape the everyday in this tranquil, spacious 3-bed detached house nestled in the heart of the Peak District. The house offers a peaceful sanctuary with stunning hikes, cosy pubs, and rolling hills right on the doorstep, and the train to Manchester City Centre takes just 45 minutes. It features a private garden, breathtaking views from the park just 30 seconds away, a modern, well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room. All bills and Wi-Fi are included, along with great perks like a dishwasher, tumble dryer, Spotify, Netflix, a home security system, and smart heating controls in every room. A regular cleaner also comes round to keep the space looking fresh.

The available room is a comfortable double for £600 per month, with all bills included. It currently has an extendable king bed, but I am more than happy to swap this out for a smaller bed and provide a desk if you would prefer a dedicated workspace. Working from home is absolutely fine.

I am Sam, a professional engineer, and I spend most of my free time outdoors trail running, climbing, and hiking. I am a natural early riser and really value having a calm, low-key home environment to recharge in. I am looking for an independent housemate who enjoys doing their own thing rather than a highly social flatshare dynamic. While I am always happy to catch up over a coffee or occasionally share a takeaway and a movie, I generally stick to my own routine and cook my own meals.

Because I appreciate a tranquil space, I am quite sensitive to background noise when I am in the house. To keep things peaceful, I generally use headphones when listening to music or watching something, and I am looking for a housemate who is happy to share that mindful approach. The ideal fit is someone who naturally avoids playing loud music or having loudspeaker phone conversations. I also head to bed around 10 PM, so keeping things like late-night films, phone calls, or music to a quiet volume (or on headphones) after that time is really important to me.

Regarding pets, I am open to a lodger bringing a very well-behaved dog. Alternatively, if you do not have a dog, I may look into getting a cat in the near future, so it helps if you are generally an animal lover either way.
