Spacious Private Ensuite Annex with Kitchenette

This self-contained private annex is tucked away at the end of a road, surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland walks, reservoirs and even a waterfall.

The annex has its own private entrance and comprises a generous ensuite bedroom/living space, large enough to accommodate both a substantial bed and separate lounge area. The building was originally a hayloft, giving it plenty of character, including exposed beams (so taller occupants may need to mind their heads!).

Downstairs, you'll find a private kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and two-ring hotplate. The current facilities are fairly basic, but we're open to discussing additional appliances with the right lodger, such as an air fryer, mini oven, washer/dryer or larger fridge freezer. If you already have your own appliances, we're happy to work around that too.

The room is currently furnished, but we're flexible and can offer it furnished, part-furnished or unfurnished depending on your preferences.

A few things to know
The annex is attached to our family home, with the original internal connection blocked off. While the space is entirely self-contained, some sound can travel through the downstairs area, particularly as the main house kitchen sits beneath the upstairs room. Upstairs remains very private and quiet and we do our best to be considerate.
We are a friendly family with a little boy who is nearly 5 years old. Like any child, he occasionally makes noise, but we're accustomed to hosting Airbnb guests and are mindful of maintaining a peaceful environment.

The upstairs living space is warm and cosy, with independent heating controls. The kitchenette downstairs has a stone floor and a smaller radiator, so warm slippers are recommended during colder months. The staircase characterful but does have a slightly higher top step, so care is needed.

This space would suit someone looking for a peaceful home in a beautiful rural setting, while still enjoying their own privacy and independence.

Occupancy & Rent

We feel the annex is ideally suited to a single professional looking for a peaceful and private home, and this would be our preference. However, we would also be happy to consider a couple for the right fit.

Rent is £900 per month for an individual and £1,050 per month for a couple, inclusive of all bills, broadband and fortnightly cleaning.
