A double bedroom with a front garden view is available to rent in a spacious shared 2-bed house (bungalow) in the quiet village of Bere Ferrers.

Rent & Costs
The total monthly cost for the house is around £1,350, made of £875 rent, bills, fibre broadband, and council tax, with a £1,000 deposit. Split between three tenants, that’s £450 per person per month and £333 each for the deposit.

Location & Transport
The house is just a 5-minute walk to the train station, with trains running every two hours. This village has around 300 residents and is located in the Tamar Valley, in West Devon, between Tavistock and Plymouth. The nearest village, Bere Alston, is bigger and has all the shops you may need.

There are easy and cheap train links to Bere Alston (5 minutes away), Plymouth St Budeaux or Dockyard (10 minutes away for £2.90-£3.50 return ticket) or the main station in Plymouth (18 minutes for £4.50 return). There is also a daily bus to Tavistock from Bere Ferrers, with more options from Bere Alston.

By car, Tavistock is about 15 minutes away, and Plymouth (Derriford) is 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The nearest supermarkets are in Tavistock (20 minutes) and Woolwell (30 minutes) by car. Please note: The area has narrow lanes, so sometimes you may need to reverse for larger vehicles.

About Me & The House
I'm a quiet guy in my late 30s who enjoys reading, photography, history, movies, nature walks, and cooking, and there's plenty of space for your kitchen items too. I work as a home carer for elderly people with dementia in nearby areas.

Right now I live alone, but my long-term partner may move in and share my room. This would reduce rent+bills to £450 per person for three people and deposit to £333 each, as otherwise the rent+bills is £650 per person and deposit £500 each.

There's also a sailing club in the neighbouring village of Weir Quay.
