A furnished double room is available in a relaxed, well-located three-bedroom house, ideal for a working professional who wants a comfortable, low-hassle place to call home in Exeter.

The room

Your room comes with a king-sized bed and a brand-new mattress, so you’ll be well rested from day one. It looks out over the garden and the trees beyond: a lovely, calm outlook and a nice spot to unwind at the end of the day.

The house

It’s an easy-going, welcoming home with a good-sized open-plan sitting and dining room, great for relaxing. There’s a TV with Netflix and other streaming for cosy nights in, and a bright open-plan kitchen with a dishwasher. Out back there’s a quiet, secluded garden to enjoy when the weather’s good.

Who you’d be living with

You’d be sharing with me, a 42-year-old marketing professional, laid back and easy to live with. I’m big on sport (tennis, padel, cycling, running and the gym) and equally happy with a good box set, a film or a book.

And then there’s Mabel, my wonderful ragdoll cat, who’s brilliant company and very much part of the household. A fellow cat-lover would be ideal!

The location

Hard to beat. You’re a 20-minute walk from the city centre and close to both the university and the hospital. Best of all, Polsloe Bridge station is right at the end of the road, with trains into Exeter Central and St David’s one way, and out to Exmouth and the beach the other. Ideal whether you’re commuting or fancy a day by the sea.

The details

Rent is £725 per month, fully inclusive of all bills (gas, electricity, water, broadband and council tax), so there’s nothing extra to budget for. Deposit is one month (£725). Rent is inclusive of council tax.

Who I’m looking for
