A beautifully furnished double bedroom is available in a lovely, spacious detached country house in Lake, near Lydford, between Tavistock and Okehampton, with direct access onto Dartmoor.

The house is a comfortable, well-appointed home with a very large garden, wood-burning fires, plenty of character and off-road parking. It would particularly suit someone who enjoys country living, walking and the outdoors, with the moor quite literally on the doorstep with access to the Granite way cycle routes.

The accommodation includes a furnished double bedroom with a bathroom immediately next door, which would normally be for your sole use, although occasionally shared when family come to stay. There is a well-equipped shared kitchen, a comfortable sitting room and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.

The rent is £750 per calendar month, inclusive of household bills and superfast Wi-Fi.

You would be sharing the house with the owner, a small friendly dog and a cat, so being an animal lover is important!

Who I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a considerate, independent working professional with a settled lifestyle who appreciates a lovely home, respects other people's space and enjoys a peaceful environment.

The location could particularly suit a chef, hospitality professional or someone working in the Tavistock, Okehampton or surrounding area. Equally, it would suit someone who simply enjoys the countryside and wants a comfortable home to return to after work.

This is very much a home rather than a conventional house-share. I'm friendly and sociable, but equally value my own space and independence, so I'm looking for someone with a similar outlook who is happy to share the occasional conversation whilst respecting each other's privacy.

The room is for 'single occupancy only*' and unfortunately no additional pets can be accommodated. Occasional visitors would be by prior agreement.

A previous landlord's reference, proof of employment and income, and satisfactory referencing will be required.

Ideally looking for someone who would like to stay longer term, although the right person is far more important than a fixed timescale.
