Peaceful Countryside Home Share – Three Private Rooms Available near the River Dart
I'm looking for a lodger (or couple) to share my home in the village of Staverton.
You would be sharing with just one other person.
The house backs directly onto open fields, making it a wonderfully peaceful place to live while still being within easy reach of Totnes, Dartington and Ashburton, and only a short walk from the River Dart and the Sea Trout Inn.
The accommodation
You will have exclusive use of three private rooms, making the space ideal for someone working from home, pursuing creative interests, or simply wanting room to spread out.
The house includes:
Large double bedroom
Two additional private rooms that can be used as a study, studio, sitting room or guest room
Shared use of a large kitchen with your own full-size fridge/freezer and dedicated cupboard space
Shared lounge
Two bathrooms (one with a power shower)
Large garden backing onto open countryside
Off-road parking
Garage space for bicycles or additional storage
The furniture shown in the photographs is available if helpful, although you're equally welcome to bring your own. The rooms can be arranged to suit the way you like to live and use the space.
Rent
£800 per month for a single occupant
£900 per month for a couple
plus a share of household bills and council tax. - band E
The accommodation is available now, although I’m flexible about the exact move-in date as I’m hoping to find someone looking for a settled, longer-term home rather than simply filling the rooms as quickly as possible.
A little about me
I'm calm, friendly and quietly creative. My background spans both creative and practical work, including writing, producing and directing, alongside an earlier career as a carpenter and joiner.
Home is important to me. I value a relaxed atmosphere where people enjoy their own independence while sharing a space built on mutual respect, consideration and straightforward communication.

I'm looking for a person or couple who enjoy living in a peaceful home rather than simply renting a room.
Whether you work from home, enjoy creative pursuits, spend time outdoors or simply appreciate a quieter way of living, I hope this feels like somewhere you could settle rather than simply stay.
As this is a shared home, unfortunately dogs can't be accommodated.
