Large double room Tavistock - SHORT TERM

We have a large comfortable en-suite room that we'll be renting out SHORT-TERM in our home at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac about 8 minutes’ walk from the centre of Tavistock.

The room is available for single occupancy but, if you’re just looking for a very short stay (i. e. up to a week) we would consider a couple.

The room is currently available as follows:-
Tuesday 04 August 2026 - Friday 04 September 2026
Monday 21 September 2026 onwards.

Minimum stay 2 nights.

The room is a large double with its own en-suite shower room and toilet. The bedroom contains a double bed, a small built-in wardrobe, a free-standing wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a compact fold-up desk, a chair, a bookcase and a TV with Sky Q. We provide a duvet, pillows, bed linen and towels, but you're welcome to bring your own things if you'd prefer to.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, kettle and toaster as well as a new washing machine. There are all the usual bits and pieces in the way of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, pots and pans which are available for you to use at any time.

In addition to this, we also have Sky Q and broadband and all bills are included in the rent.

There’s not enough space to park a second car immediately outside the house but there’s parking further down the road on a first come first served basis.

We’re looking for someone mature who will respect our property. We don’t allow smoking or vaping in the house but, if you smoke or vape, you are welcome to do so in the garden.

You'll have full use of the house which is furnished to a high standard and has a kitchen / diner, large living room, lovely conservatory and a sunny, secluded garden.

You’ll be sharing with two of us, one male and one female, plus our 3 dogs and 2 cats. We're not party animals but realistically, because of the dogs, there will be a bit of noise from time to time. We are sociable, easy-going people and you will be treated as one of the family, but we also respect the fact that most people like their own space as well.

Tavistock has everything you'll need in the way of day-to-day shopping i. e. a bank (yes, we actually still have a bank in town) shops, supermarkets and restaurants, but if serious retail therapy is your thing, there's an excellent bus service to Plymouth and it's only about 15 miles if you drive there.

Rental rates:
£40 per night for a minimum of 2 nights (single or double occupancy).
£210 per week for a stay of a week (single or double occupancy).
£150 per week for stays of more than one week (single occupancy only).
Deposit of £100 payable on booking.
Full payment will be required on arrival.
