Room to rent

Tenant required: Furnished double room in a bungalow for rent. Located in a Steading near Thurston, East Lothian.

There is a Livingroom with dining facilities, kitchen, bathroom, which will all be shared. The house also has a courtyard and parking is available outside the house. I also have 2 cats, so you would have to be a cat lover. DRIVING and car essential due to very limited public transport.

The house is located near Dunbar (3 miles) which hosts various shopping, supermarkets, cafes, bars and a train station. At home there are country walks and also a few local beaches.
I am the house owner, which means we would have a lodger agreement. I work full-time and would therefore prefer a professional person. I love watching movies, reading books and walking.

I’m looking to live with someone easy-going, but who also likes to keep the house clean & tidy and to have a quiet homely environment. This is a non-smoking home and a non-party home. Sorry no couples. No time wasters.
6-month lease initially. £550 per month. All other bills included plus £500 deposit to be paid in advance. Available from 01March2026. References required, if possible, please.
