Part-time commuter lodger – £320 per month

I have a small double room available in my home in Hull, ideally suited to a work commuter who has their main home elsewhere and needs a comfortable, regular and secure base in Hull while working.

The room is for exclusive use, so you'd have your own room and plenty of space to keep your belongings. I'm looking for someone who would stay around 4 nights a week, rather than someone looking to live here full-time. The particular nights can be flexible from week to week, which could suit someone whose working pattern varies.

£320 per month. This is intended as a simple monthly arrangement rather than a nightly rate. I'm happy to discuss the rent depending on the frequency of stays, particularly if you're generally likely to be here less often.

About the house

The house is a few minutes' walk from Newland Avenue, around a 25-minute walk to the university and approximately 35 minutes into the city centre.

It's a compact, comfortable and functional house, although it's fair to say it's a little rough around the edges in terms of décor! I'm more interested in offering a relaxed and comfortable home than a pristine show-home.

You'll be living with me (the live-in landlord) and one other lodger. Lodgers are welcome to use the lounge and all communal areas.

The room

The room is small but has a lot of built-in cupboard space, so there's good storage.

It includes:

Folding wall-mounted laptop table and folding chair

Foam mattress

New window recently installed.

Fibre broadband

Exclusive use of the room

There is a downstairs bathroom and a small outdoor area.

The lounge TV includes Netflix.
