Lovely Room in a Small House in Hanover

no undergrad students, sorry. Available from 1 November, but you can move in as early as 17 October if you need!

rent £480. bills £150-160. we are a loving household of two friends in our early 30s. we love quiet co-regulation time together, like sometimes watching films or listening to music in each other’s bedrooms or just chatting) and prefer knowing roughly what’s going on in each other’s lives for good and peaceful cohabitation. at the same time, we love flexible boundaries and everyone taking care of their own wellbeing. we are often busy with work (one is a community organiser + artist and the other is a musician, teacher & producer). we are both queer and trans non-binary and would prefer to share house with other queer people or allies.

house is up a hill in hanover. house entrance has 2 steps. two floors: ground floor and first floor. 12 steps up to access the first floor.

1 bathroom. kitchen with a washing machine. garden. 3 rooms.

the bedroom has windows out to the garden. it is unfurnished (but with an inbuilt clothing rail), so you get to furnish it to your liking! we can help you find furniture if that’s hard <3

looking for someone who:
- will pay rent and bills, consistently and reliably
- is responsive and interested in listening and talking through issues when/if any come up (we usually have short and sweet monthly meetings to check in)
- wants to share house chores and upkeep the house as a space with good hygiene most of the time (right now we each take on one type of chore and make it our main job in the house)
- won't throw parties or have many guests unless agreed collectively, it's a small house so appreciate chill vibes
- wants to be friendly and say hello to each other most days
- plus: overlaps in politics and worldviews are welcome (commitment to fighting racism, transphobia, queerphobia, ableism, class oppression, misoginy and sexism, so on)
- plus: queer person or ally :)
