I'm looking for someone to rent my large double bedroom in my lovely two-bedroom flat in the Roundhill area of Brighton, while I'm away for a few months. I'm looking for someone to join my existing housemate Josh for an initial three-month period, with the possibility of extending if it's a good fit.
The flat is on Ditchling Road, just a few minutes from London Road station and within easy walking distance of Brighton station, the North Laine and the city centre.
The flat
It's a light, sunny first-floor flat with two double bedrooms, a recently renovated kitchen, bathroom with shower over the bath, separate toilet, and a spacious living room at the front with a sofa and dining table.
The flat is fully furnished and well equipped. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, mattress and clothes storage, including hanging space. The kitchen has everything you need, including an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, separate freezer and plenty of cupboard space and utensils.
Location
The location is brilliant for getting around Brighton: it's a few minutes' walk to London Road station, around 15 minutes' walk to Brighton station and the North Laines. There is a bus stop almost outside the flat and it's close to several great pubs and lots of restaurants and bars. Preston Park around 10 minutes away.
Parking is in Zone J, which currently has no waiting list.
Who you'll be living with
You'll be sharing with my current housemate Josh, who's 28 and works in retail. He's quiet, clean, tidy and respectful.
Although I'm going away, this will still my main residence and I'll be keeping my belongings here, so I'm looking for someone who understands this is a temporary arrangement rather than a completely new household.
I'm looking for someone friendly, considerate, independent and easy to live with. The flat is calm and settled rather than a party house!
The room would suit someone who works primarily outside the home. Occasional working from home is absolutely fine, but I'm not looking for someone who works remotely full-time.
Friends and partners visiting occasionally are no problem, but I'd like to keep the flat as a two-person household rather than having regular overnight guests.
The room would ideally suit one person, although I'd consider a couple for a short-term arrangement at an adjusted rent.
The flat is LGBTQ+ friendly and everyone is welcome. Above all, I'm looking for someone communicative, respectful and considerate.
Availability
The room is available from now for an initial three months, with the possibility of extending if we're both happy and it's a good fit.
If this sounds like it could be a match, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you do and what you're looking for in a flatshare. 😊
