Hi,
I’m looking for a new housemate to share my home with me and my affectionate, goofball dog, Sunny.
About the room:
It’s a spacious en suite attic room with a king-size bed, lots of privacy, built-in wardrobes, plenty of storage and a workspace with a desk and chair. There's no TV in the house, but there’s a TV cable in the room if you want a TV. You would just need to get a TV licence.
The view overlooks trees and nature, making it feel secure and secluded, even though it’s in a vibrant neighbourhood. If you crane your neck, you get spectacular views of the sunset too.
It’s available for a 1-3 month trial to see if we're a good fit. If we enjoy living together, we can discuss an extension.
The move-in date is flexible, as it's available now. Finding the right person is more important to me than filling the room.
About the house:
Bills are around £145, which includes council tax, energy, water and wifi.
The house is recently renovated. The ground floor features a large, open-plan living and kitchen area that leads out to the garden.
The first floor has my bathroom, my office (which doubles up as a guest room with a sofa bed) and my bedroom.
The top floor will be your room, complete with a private bathroom. We’ll have a bathroom each and won’t need to share. I’d like to keep them separate at all times, because why not?
We do need to be considerate of the downstairs neighbour. Because of the wooden floors, he can hear footsteps, music, and chatter, which makes hosting a little challenging but not impossible.
About me:
I’m a 40-year-old professional who works from home. I've lived a full life and previously travelled a lot. These days, with Sunny and the house, I’ve become more settled.
I keep things fairly low-key during the week, yet let my hair down on weekends. I’m easy-going and sociable, but I cherish my own space to recharge.
I enjoy gigs, walking, running, nature, the sea, writing and music.
My partner lives in London, and he often stays with me.
About Sunny & dogs:
Sunny is a large, friendly, rather talkative dog who loves to play and be chased.
I often dog-sit other dogs. Therefore, you’ll need to be a fellow dog-lover to ensure everyone feels comfortable and at ease.
Last but not least, about you:
I’d love to find someone who's kind, cleans up after themselves, respectful and values creating a supportive living environment. I'd like you to be a positive presence and help create a supportive, easygoing, homely atmosphere.
Ideally, you’d work outside the house for some of the week so we’re not always on top of one another.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send me a message telling me a little about yourself and what you're looking for in a living situation. I look forward to hearing from you.
