Beautiful Room in Shared House with Garden

Room available immediately in friendly shared house.

Available immediately — this room needs to be filled by the end of the month. Students will be considered, but you will need a guarantor if you wish to continue the tenancy beyond August. Deposit (if you wish to continue the tenancy) is due in August, rent will need to be paid for move-in however.

A delightful ground-floor room is available in a shared house with four sociable professionals. This is my old room, which I am giving up because I am moving to London, and I am very sad to be leaving such a wonderful house :-(

The house is fully furnished with our furniture, while the room itself is part-furnished with a bed and mattress. It is the only bedroom on the ground floor, so it offers a little extra privacy. The room itself has a large built-in cupboard, shelving to one side, a large mantle-piece above the fireplace. It is light and cosy, these pictures were taken in the afternoon.

The house has a large garden and patio, a spacious communal lounge and kitchen, storage space under the stairs, access to two large secure storage sheds attached to the house, a loft, one upstairs bathroom with a shower and bath, and one downstairs toilet.

It is also full of lovely period features, including a tiled Georgian hallway, decorative ceiling reliefs, and a large old fireplace in the room itself, though this is blocked up.

We are a sociable household and often spend time together when we are not working, so we would really appreciate another friendly and sociable housemate to take my place. We are also quite a musical household — the radio or record player is almost always on. An interest in gardening would be very welcome, or at least a willingness to get involved, as we all enjoy looking after the garden.

The others in the house work in a wide variety of fields, from costume for film and television to specialist SEN care in schools.
