Lounge / Cat

Our flatmate is moving out at the end of September, so we’re looking for someone in their late 20s/30s to join our lovely flat in Regency Square.
We also have a very sweet cat, so you’ll need to be comfortable living with a furry little housemate too!

We’re looking for someone who’s friendly, clean and tidy, works full-time and is not looking for a party flat. No students or short-term lets, please.

The room:
It’s a small double with a large window and beautiful high Regency ceilings. The room is unfurnished, with enough space for a bed, storage and a desk. Right next to the main shower/ bath room!

The communal space is definitely the best part of the flat. We have a huge open-plan kitchen and living room with high ceilings, loads of natural light and views over Regency Square. We get gorgeous morning sunshine and can see the sea!
We’re on the ground floor and less than a minute from the beach.
There’s one large bathroom with a bath/shower and sink, plus a separate toilet, so there’s no fighting over the bathroom in the morning.
There isn’t a TV or dedicated workspace in the communal area, but there’s room for a desk in the bedroom if needed.

The location:
We’re about a 15-minute walk from Brighton Station, 4 minutes from Churchill Square and around 20 minutes on foot from most places in town. And, of course, the beach is practically on the doorstep.
We’re in Zone Z for parking, which currently has a waiting list of 11+ months for a permit.
Rent & bills
* £600 rent per month, paid directly to the landlord.
* £600 deposit, also paid directly to the landlord.
* Bills are roughly £120–£150 per month, including gas, electricity, water, council tax (Band B), WiFi & Household Supplies such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies etc.

A bit about us!
I’m Shauna, 33, Irish , and work in a tattoo shop in town. I’m pretty easy-going and enjoy a chilled evening, going to art galleries, doing arts and crafts and having the odd drink with friends.
Jade is 30, Irish, and works as a manager in a local restaurant. She likes reading, getting out and about, as well as having relaxed evenings at home from time to time.

We’re looking for someone who’ll feel like a flatmate rather than a lodger — someone who takes pride in their home, cleans up after themselves and is up for the occasional chat, while being respectful of everyone’s space and downtime.
