I am away from 10th December, probably till 8th March. You will therefore have sole occupancy unless my plans change...but I'm unlikely to be home before end February earliest: If I return early your rent will reduce to £600 & half duel fuel bill. Couples welcome, the rent for two people is £1100 pcm
Take it easy at this unique quiet getaway, gorgeous 6 foot high oak windows in a spacious living room, sumptuous 80% wool carpets to feel warm & soft, my home is shoe free. Garden and courtyard surround, with seating areas in both.
10 minutes from Waitrose & Morrisons, the house is on the quiet side of the road , only minutes from the Ashdown Forest, woodland walks and some great pubs. Nearby Tunbridge Wells provides film, theatre and shows and a wide variety of restaurants.
You will have a small but pretty double room with fabulous 6 foot high listed oak windows, a wardrobe and a small chest of drawers.
The living dinning room is spacious with gorgeous huge windows. The living/dinning room I think is roughly 15x 18 feet.
The flat is in an 1899 architect designed stone house. There are 6 flats, and whilst house neighbours keep private, they are friendly. The culture here is quiet, and it is essential that you too want to be, and to be in, a quiet environment.
Surrounding neighbours have always been quiet.
There is currently one quiet visiting dog in the house.
Whilst the garden is quiet and communal we (each flat) each have our respected seating areas: mine are outside the bedroom window on grass and on some hard standing.
The house is eccentric with, for example, inwards opening windows, so expect some signs of living in an old characterful house, not the controlled environment of a well built modern or standard property. The windows are mainly the original 1899 oak and glass.
Warren road is wide and there is plenty of room for parking on the road. My parking space may be available.
I would like to meet you, so meeting by end of November is essential. There is a key safe for entry.
The flat will be cleaned nicely before you arrive and will need to be cleaned to the same standard when you leave.
We can exchange emails if you are interested so you can ask questions, and I can direct you to reviews on Air B&B.
Bills:
I will pay the first £100 for dual fuel so that the flat can have heating on in my bedroom without adding to your bill. You will pay for what you use above that.
Wi fi has been reliable and included unless you go over the limit....I stream every day and haven't come up against a limit so far!
I will pay the water bill with the proviso that anything above £150 for the nearly three months I will charge...thats a lot of water!
As I am away in South Africa with unreliable power, I will leave you emergency numbers with my regular heating engineer, plumbing, home emergency cover etc.
Forgive me: I will also leave you with a detailed home pack for reference, as we won’t be able to chat easily day by day.
I have a current enhanced DBS (disclosure and barring service) which you are welcome to see and check on.
