We have a furnished single bedroom that we've been letting on and off to language students and we're looking to see if a semi permanent lodger would be make more sense.
We already have one other lodger, a 22 year old woman who works nearby in a first floor bedroom, the single room for rent is on the ground floor and our room is on the second floor.
The single room has dual aspect windows, a single bed with 2 drawers in the base, a full length mirror, a desk and chair, bedside lamp, hanging rail, large shelf and storage for clothes.
The bathroom is opposite the bedroom on the ground floor and is shared with the other lodger.
There is a large kitchen diner overlooking the beautiful, sunny, south facing landscaped garden. It's a good sized property and with people's bedrooms being on different floors it's used to having 4 people in it without anyone getting on top of each other.
There are two full size fridge freezers in the house so you would share one with the other lodger.
There is a pantry cupboard that we can make space in for your food and kitchen items.
The house is at the southern end of Hangleton parallel to Old Shoreham Road and on the number 5 bus route to town. The 3X bus is a 10min walk up the hill and goes out to Brighton station and the University. We're also a short walk from Aldrington train station, Portslade station is 15-20min walk away for direct trains to London. Portland Road is 10-15mins walk with it's cafes and shops. Larger grocery shops are also close by with Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose, Sainsbury's all within walking distance.
The road is not permit parking if a car is needed for commuting.
We have a small female dog who is very quiet and chilled out, she is happy to leave you alone but also happy to receive attention if you want to give her strokes.
We don't have any kids but will often offer to share an evening meal with lodgers during the week. During the warmer months we may have BBQs or fire pits in the evenings where friends are invited and lodgers are always welcome to join in if they want to.
