A lovely double room available in a beautifully renovated three-bedroom Victorian house in Hastings, a short walk from the Old Town, West Hill and town centre.

The house is full of character, with original period features alongside a recently updated kitchen and bathroom. Downstairs is a spacious, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with oak floors and bifold doors opening onto a landscaped, terraced garden. It's a really enjoyable space to spend time in, particularly in the warmer months.

The house has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and would suit someone looking for a comfortable home rather than just a room.

About the house

Spacious shared living and dining area

Modern, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher

Contemporary bathroom with walk-in shower

Beautiful terraced garden with decking and mature planting

Plenty of character and natural light

Great location for Hastings Old Town and the town centre

About me

I'm a curator working in contemporary art, currently based at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. My work takes me between Hastings, London and elsewhere, so I'm not always at home.

I'm friendly, independent and considerate, and enjoy art, books, cooking and good conversation. I'd love to find someone with similar values who enjoys a sociable home but also appreciates their own space and privacy.

Who I'm looking for

Ideally, a friendly, tidy and considerate professional who is independent, respectful of shared spaces and looking for a calm, comfortable place to live.

A note about the house

The property is currently on the market, although I don't anticipate a quick sale. I'm happy to discuss this openly and agree sensible arrangements so that we both know where we stand.

I am in London part of the week so will likely only be using the house once of twice a week.

If this sounds like somewhere you'd enjoy living, please get in touch and tell me a little about yourself.
