Hey all!
We have a room available in our lovely 3 bedroom flat in central Hove, close to shops, restaurants, the train station and main bus lines. It's a spacious and light room, with a gorgeous, original-feature fireplace (non-working though!). It looks out onto the gardens at the back, but we have our own indoor garden in the living room!
The first photo on the advert is the room with its current occupancy, but the room will be totally unfurnished.
We're a 37 year old gay man and 40 year old straight woman, and are friendly professionals working Monday to Friday. We like the flat to be a quiet place to relax or work when we are home. Fairly regular set of hobbies - yoga, film, cooking, travel, reading, eating out, a drink here and there!
We are looking for someone friendly who is between 30-45 years old, clean, tidy and respectful of others. Someone who likes their own space but also wants to make the flat their home. We hang out together from time to time but are also very happy doing our own thing - so if that sounds like the mix you're looking for too then please get in touch!
The rest of the flat is a bright and spacious place with beautiful features. While the flat may not be in the best condition, it has so many advantages to living here that these absolutely outweigh its somewhat shabby-chic appearance! Hove lawns, the seafront and Hove park are all also super close. There is street parking if you apply for a permit and we're only about 7 minutes walk from the seafront!
The rent alone is £583.33 per month + bills, altogether currently coming to roughly around £750 total with all the ever-rising increases there seem to be! This is paid into a central account every month. This amount can of course go up and down a bit depending on usage though. I believe the new deposit will be £673.08 for the DPS scheme, but we will confirm this for sure. There will be referencing needed to be done by the Letting Agency, however we deal with almost everything else directly through a private landlord though.
The room will officially be available from September the 12th. The rent must be paid on that date (ideally at least the day before), but of course a move in date could be any time after that which is suitable for you.
Please send us a message with a bit about yourself if you are interested (age, job, hobbies, vibe - you know the drill!) and we will hopefully start doing viewings next week.
We are definitely looking for someone who wants to settle in the flat long term - for at least 12 months and hopefully longer! I've (Jon) been here for almost 10 years, and Kat’s been here for 3 - it's a pretty great flat!
Hope to hear from you soon - please let us know a little bit about you in your reply!
