Double room with own bathroom

We are a retired couple offering a comfortable double room in our sunny and spacious two-bedroom top-floor flat in St Leonards-on-Sea, around a 10-minute walk from the seafront. There is free off-road parking and a lift.

The flat is in a modern purpose-built block with a large living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer.

The unusual feature is that you would have the flat largely to yourself for most of the month.

We live mainly in Cambridge and normally stay in St Leonards for no more than two weekends a month, with an occasional longer stay at Easter or during the summer. Typically, therefore, you would have sole use of the flat for around 24–25 days each month.

You would have your own double bedroom and exclusive use of the bathroom (as we have a separate en-suite), with bath and shower, as well as full use of the living room and kitchen. Wi-Fi and household bills are included.

We retain the second bedroom for our exclusive use. When we are staying, the living room and kitchen are shared. Our daughter and young grandson live locally and occasionally visit us when we are there.

We are looking for one person who would appreciate a quiet, comfortable home and considerably more privacy and space than in a conventional house-share. It could particularly suit a mature professional.
