Double room, large 4 bed house

I'm Viv, a 46 year old healthcare professional, artist, photographer, Mercedes obsessed, occasional padel player, who is looking for a polite, respectful and tidy individual to occupy the second largest bedroom in my spacious, comfortable and quirky 4 bedroom semi-detached house. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac on the Writtle side of Chelmsford, not far from the fire station, which is about a 15 minute walk from the town centre and train station. It has a large and very private garden with easy access to/from London. Bus stops to/from town are also very close and there are various shops within a few minutes walking distance. I have fantastic neighbours and there is a large park at the end of the road.

Having recently reduced my hours in the NHS to undertake a Licentiate in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, I'm looking to share my home to help cover the bills while I study for the next 3 years.

I am not in a major rush and I will be quite selective about the kind of person I want to share my home with. I'm extremely relaxed and easy going, I'm also very organised and like to keep things clean and tidy. I would expect anyone who lived here to be of a similar mindset. I rarely drink and it probaby wouldn't be appropriate for anyone who does regularly to apply. I do smoke however, but never in the house. I have no objection to someone who smokes or drinks occasionally, but absolutely no hard drugs.

Age, gender and profession aren't important to me. Proof of stable income and the right kind of temprapent are. You will need to appreciate that I'm currently working 2 12hr days, in London 2 days and studying the other 3 days. So things are pretty full on. Friends are welcome to visit provided they are respectful, I want the person who moves in to enjoy living here and I am looking to provide a comfortable and relaxing place to call home. This house has always been a safe space with a very positive atmosphere and I intend to keep it that way.

Space on the drive can be available if required, I'm reducing my collection next year to cover tuition fees anyway but I can make space sooner if needed.

A rolling 12 month agreement would be preferable and only a minimum 6 month agreement will be considered. The room will be £850 per month which includes all bills, council tax and broadband. A £500 deposit will be required and references. There is a toilet downstairs and bathroom upstairs, which is next to your room, that we will share along with the kitchen and living room. There are other rooms in the house that aren't being used and I'm happy to discuss those over time if/when appropriate and it's only currently me who lives here. I would possibly be happy with someone who had a pet provided they were well behaved!
