Turn right to walk ride or run round towards Maldon passing the hidden gems Goldhanger beach and Osea Island on route to Heybridge Basin and on the Maldon .
Turn left in the opposite direction towards mersea passing a hidden beach then on towards shingle head , Tollesbury Marina then onwards and your on route towards Old Hall marshes and Salcot creek onward towards Gt Wigborough and eventually Mersea .
The Blackwater estuary is just absolutely stunning and a hot spot for photography with the views and wildlife all year round .
I’ve seen two different types of deer within a half a mile section of the sea wall with bird of prey like Marsh Harrier and Kites very common . They can be seen often from the garden here as well both dear and the birds of prey . If your an owl lover we sometimes have as many as 3/4 owls in the garden and in close proximity of the house and garden calling out .
So if you like walking , running , cycling or fishing or just sitting watching and enjoying the countryside all very close by then you may have found the place for you .
Great rural location but so hardly located between the towns of Maldon Colchester and Tiptree .
Busses stop at the end of the garden it’s a pick up point if you wait there for Maldon or Tiptree or Colchester
