I have a single bedroom available from the begining of March 2026 in a quiet rural village with Inn and two cafes, 8 miles from St Andrews University. Local bus service available if no car. Space for parking if you do. Excellent countryside but close enough to the bustle of St Andrews. Best of all worlds.

The room has a large wardrobe and I supply clothes hangers and shelving inside. All bedding (new quilt and pillows included) and towels are supplied, but you are free to bring your own if preferred.

The room also has a desk, chair, mirror, pin board, bedside cabinet and desk and bed lighting. A view towards Hill of Tarvit and Ceres Church spire and the general rural landscape.

Shared living/dining room, kitchen with oven, air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge freezer and washing machine. I have set aside kitchen cabinets for your own use. You are free to use all my kitchen utensils, pots, pans, baking trays, etc, as required.

Common bathroom with shower which has good pressure and a bath. Space is provided for your usual toiletries.

Excellent wi-fi is free to use for tenant. No council tax charge for students. Share fuel bills on top of rent (last year's available to view). Garage with locks suitable for storing bike and outsized luggage.

Preferred tenant is a student under/post grad who appreciates a quiet space to study away from the bustle of the university. Flexible availability and length of stay to suit your academic calendar.

Ceres is a nice village with a local convenience store, two cafes, an hotel with restaurant, a pottery, and a country museum and an inn,. Lots of good walks including access to the Fife Pilgrim Way and a NTS House (Hill of Tarvit). Bus link to St Andrews via No. 64 operated by Moffat and Williamson, and other buses *Stagecoach 41 and 45) linking to Cupar and Dundee with a bus stop less than 3-minute walk from house.

Live in landlord is an architect working in and around St Andrews. I am respectful, easy to live with and enjoy the company of others and hope my lodger shares those ideals.

I have had six previous lodgers. All students of St Andrews and varying from 1st and 2nd years, Phd and Masters students.
