An amazing opportunity has arisen to rent one of our rooms in a 5-bedroom property overlooking Kinghorn Loch, at Craigencalt Farm, a former dairy farm, and mill.

The property is situated in an idyllic spot on the shores of Kinghorn Loch. The property is spread over 23 acres with a number of barns and farm-buildings which are rented out to artisans and small enterprises. The farmhouse itself is approximately 200 years old. It is an ideal home for anyone looking to be part of a small community.

Our current house is a mix of:

3 x males
2 x females

The house is calm and mindful. The housemates generally strike a balance between respecting each other's privacy and sharing the occasional meal and social time together.

There is a large diner kitchen, a large sitting room, an upstairs bathroom, and a newly refurbished shower room with an extra toilet downstairs. An additional room is sometimes used as a study and/or reading room.

The house overlooks a private garden with views over Kinghorn Loch - perfect for pitching a hammock in the summer sun. The Loch is also one of Fife’s best birdwatching spots.

People generally chose to live at Craigencalt because they enjoy a rural, peaceful, lifestyle with access to the woodland, house orchard and the chance of an allotment. The Ecology Centre is on the other side of the Loch, and operates a small cafe.

The monthly rent is inclusive of council tax. Utilities are based on usage and are currently around £130 a month.
