Looking for a clean, respectful and easy-going housemate to share my lovely home in Barking Riverside.

The room is furnished with everything you need to get settled in, but I’ve kept the décor fairly neutral and minimal, so you’ll have plenty of freedom to make it your own and add your own personality to the space. The buildings have access to a gym, co working space and a concierge.

🛏️ Your own space

One of the biggest perks is that you’ll have your own private bathroom.

It isn’t technically an en-suite, but there are two bathrooms in the flat and one is exclusively yours, so you won’t have to share a bathroom with anyone else.

The bathroom itself is spacious, and there’s also a separate utility/laundry room for washing and storage.

🏡 The flat

The flat has a really lovely bright and cosy open-plan living space, with the kitchen opening directly onto the living room.

And probably my favourite part of the flat — the terrace overlooking the Thames 🌊. It’s a great little spot to sit outside, have a coffee, unwind after work or enjoy the view.

The kitchen is bright and practical, and because it opens onto the living room, it makes the space feel sociable without being cramped.

Smoking is permitted on the terrace/balcony, but the flat itself is strictly non-smoking.

🌿 Barking Riverside

Barking Riverside has a really nice peaceful, community feel. It’s tucked away along the Thames, so it feels much calmer than you might expect while still being well connected to the rest of London.

🚆 Barking Riverside station is only around 6 minutes to Barking, where you can connect to the District and Hammersmith & City lines, as well as c2c trains.

🚇 From Barking, Fenchurch Street is around 15 minutes by c2c, making getting into central London pretty straightforward.

🚌 There are also 24-hour EL1, EL2 and EL3 bus services, connecting the riverside with Barking and the surrounding area.

🌊 There’s even Uber Boat service, so you have the option of travelling into London by boat — a pretty nice alternative to the Tube!

I’m a friendly, easy-going person and I’m always happy to have a chat, share a meal, grab a drink or enjoy a bit of fun together. I’m definitely not looking for a housemate where we simply pass each other in the hallway!

I work in hospitality, which can be quite a social and demanding job, so there will also be times when I come home and just want to switch off and have some time to myself. I’m quite independent and value having a home where we can both feel comfortable doing our own thing, whether that’s having a quiet night in or having friends over and being a little more social.

For me, it’s really about finding the right balance — being friendly and enjoying the home together, while also respecting each other’s space and downtime when needed.

I’m looking for someone respectful, considerate, clean and easy-going, who wants to feel at home here and is happy to have a relaxed, friendly living environment.
