Hi. I'm a landlord and NHS doctor. I leave early, work late and have an active social life that means I'm out all weekend. This includes martial arts, running, hiking in groups of 30 (Stag/Metropolitan walkers) , music festivals, improv comedy (Hoopla) and salsa. Life is to be enjoyed!

Tenants

The house is open to men and women. But if you are female and have a preference for other female housemates, can you let me know at the viewing or beforehand? The 2 bedrooms are upstairs. I live downstairs so ( in that situation) the two potential female tenants would have the top floor and bathroom to themselves. I'm at the gym everyday and use the showers there...

The modern house suits professionals or postgraduate students (age range: 20s - 30s). It’s a quiet street. The neighbours have babies or young children so it's not a party house. No smokers or vapers.

Requirements: previous private landlord/student accommodation references (not family) covering 2 years and employer references covering 1 year. If you have cat, you’ll also need “HomeLet” or “LetAlliance” insurance so pet carpet/furniture damage is covered.

House/Rooms

There are 2 double rooms. The rooms have desks, reclining office chairs, remote control tower fans and memory foam "comfort" mattresses. Privacy is respected and socialising is encouraged. An 88 key digital piano, home gym equipment, printer, scanner and sofa are all available in the communal areas plus a washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, two ovens and a microwave. TVs are in all the main rooms with high speed fibre broadband and Sky Cinema/Entertainment channels set up so multiple people can watch different shows at the same time.

A professional cleaner comes every 2 weeks-she's been with us for over 5 years. There's access to a garden and outdoor terrace. Sainsbury's, Waitrose, 24hr gyms, High Barnet Northern line and New Barnet train stations are a few minutes away with fast access to Old Street and Moorgate. The water system has an Aquabion unit fitted to eliminate limescale so it tastes better and the bath and shower units are high powered.

It's a new build house so things rarely break down. If any problems occur (boiler, bedbugs, washing machine, internet, etc) these are covered by warranties and fixed promptly by people with the best ratings and experience at no extra cost to you.

Viewings

I’ll combine viewings so potential tenants can meet each other before moving in. Let me know if you have any food/pet allergies. New equipment and furniture have been added since the photos were taken so you'll notice the changes when you come for a viewing. Before the viewing, all potential tenants will be sent an information sheet about the new Renters' Rights Act and “shortcuts on how to get here from the station” via WhatsApp. Once contracts are signed, tenants are added to a house WhatsApp group containing “how to operate it” videos, device manuals and key contacts so they can post messages to each other about the house and reach me or the relevant maintenance team at anytime.
