Includes TWO large rooms upstairs, shared communal areas and bills for £1,300.
Open to Mon-Fri arrangements too.
Move-in date by 12th November latest.

I love communal living and hosting community gatherings at home, and I am also a neurodivergent bean who gets sensory overwhelm and needs home to be a soft, quiet space a lot of the time. This set up works for someone with similar needs.

You get two rooms to yourself on a separate floor (large bedroom and second larger room for either private communal space, studio or office - whatever you need). There is also a small communal guest room on the same floor that is available to our house guests when needed.

There will be a 3-month trial period (negotiable if longer feels mutually needed) to give us both time to feel into a longer term commitment.

The values I nurture in the house and beyond are:
· Food sharing
· Love-labour (collective effort to keeping our nest welcoming, clean and tidy)
· Mutual aid and social/political engagement
· Laughter
· Non-judgemental space to unmask and stim
· Generosity, warmth and kindness
· Collaborative learning and sharing
· Willingness and capacity to communicate
· Loving accountability/conflict resolution practices
· Strength to hold our own and different feelings
· Respecting boundaries, personal space and consent

Bedroom: big windows that overlook the large garden and lots of trees. Furnished with a very comfortable queen-sized bed, built-in storage shelves/closets, as well as another mirrored wardrobe and chest of drawers. You are welcome to keep or replace the furnishings.

Second private room: large room with large windows that view the main street. Currently furnished with a double bed and two floor shelf units for storage. Built-in decorative fireplace. You are welcome to keep or replace the furnishings.

Shared areas include: upstairs bathroom, upstairs guest room, downstairs toilet, kitchen, living/dining room, garden, cabin, shed and driveway. There is also a large loft for things to be stored if needed.

House access info:
There is one small step to the entrance of the house.
There are 14 stairs to the bathroom, guest room and the rooms available.
There is no phone entry system.
There are no visual/hearing impairment adaptations in the house

What I’m manifesting in a new housemate:
A Queer POC (ideally 30+ and AFAB) who embodies and practices community values within their relationships and home, and is interested in co-creating a conscious, caring and peaceful environment.
Someone who is motivated to the make the world a better place and reflects this in the ways they show up for themselves, their home and their communities.
Some who has the physical and emotional space and time in their lives to engage and invest in the home, is attentive to their space and dedicates time and energy to taking care of it.
Someone who will treat the home as a sacred space and take responsibility for the energy and care they bring to it, as well making sure their guests do the same.
Someone who either loves to garden/grow food or is interested in learning together (I want to build a food garden that will sustain us in the home)
Someone who enjoys sharing food, is happy to take turns cooking and eat together sometimes.
Someone who is excited by and supportive of the community gatherings I hold at home (including supperclub and jams) and understands the importance of holding safe spaces for queer/poc kin. Bonus points if you’d like to actively support these spaces.
Someone who is lovingly communicative, responsible and accountable, and is not scared to ask in case of not knowing.
Someone who is caring and open in heart and spirit, and who works consciously on themselves.
Someone who actively boycotts products on the BDS list (they are banned in this home).
Someone who wants to co-create or use the space in their own creative/spiritual/healing/community-centred ways. This is welcomed and encouraged.

Me:
Sai, they/them, 35yo, Kashmiri/Pakistani. I’ve been living here for over 3 years. 90s child raised on biryani and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m a photographer, bassist/sound healer, facilitator, event organiser, as well as a student of nature, care and decolonisation. I enjoy unfiltered conversations and taking long romantic walks towards my deepest fears.
