Room available in family home

We are a family consisting of a married couple in our 40s who work in schools, two teenage sons and one small cat. Our house is old and we are slowly doing it up over time. Bedrooms and hallway have all been recently decorated and there is a new kitchen and bathroom, but be aware that there are areas such as the gardens and original bathroom which still require work!

The house is a 10-12 minute walk from both Hounslow West and Hounslow Central stations on the Piccadilly Line, making it convenient for Heathrow and central London. It's also about 20 minutes from Hounslow mainline station, which takes you to Waterloo, and well served by many buses.

The bedroom is small but comfortable and you are welcome to use our large downstairs reception room. There are two bathrooms but everyone prefers to use the new one so it can be busy in the mornings and flexibility goes a long way.

We are a very busy household but we enjoy cooking and eating together and you are welcome to join us. Meals tend to be meat free as two of us are vegetarian, but meat-eaters are welcome. We have a dishwasher and although we don't have a tumble dryer, there is a heated clothes rack to speed up laundry.

This room would particularly suit someone who is relocating to London and needs somewhere temporary while looking for their more long-term home. Although we are not specifically an LGBT+ household, LGBT+ lodgers are very welcome. We have hosted five lodgers before, from all over the world, and found the experience really positive. Members of the family speak French and Spanish as second languages and would love the opportunity to practise them!

Council tax band D. On-street parking is available but you are responsible for buying your own resident's permit. All bills included. Netflix on main shared TV.
