Bright & Sunny Double Room in Twickenham (TW2)
A bright and sunny double room is available in my two-bedroom mid-terrace home, just a 5-minute walk from Twickenham Green.
This is a live-in landlord (lodger) arrangement, although I'll be travelling regularly over the next 4–5 months, so for much of that time the house will feel like your own.
I'm looking for a friendly, tidy professional who enjoys a peaceful, respectful home rather than a busy party house share.
The Room
• Bright double bedroom with a queen-size bed
• Two built-in wardrobes and a chest of drawers
• Available immediately
The House
You'll be sharing the house with me and have access to:
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Comfortable living room
• Shared bathroom
• Sunny rear garden with BBQ
• Garage for additional storage
• Bikes can be stored at the front, rear or in the garage (at your own risk)
Resident parking: A permit is required. I'm happy to investigate whether one can be arranged for a lodger, although parking cannot be guaranteed and is not included as part of the tenancy.
All bills and utilities are included (reasonable usage).
The house is tucked away in a quiet residential close with a lovely community and family friendly feel. Neighbours actually know and chat with one another.
Tenancy Options
Open to both long and short term lodgers, with a minimum stay of around 3 months.
Longer-term
• Second double bedroom: £1,200 per month (all bills included)
• Size 4.70m x 2.43m
Short-term (for the next 6 months - until January 2027)
• Main double bedroom: £1,400 per month (all bills included)
• The larger main bedroom is available for a maximum of six months while I'm travelling, until January 2027.
Transport
Excellent transport links with three nearby stations:
• Twickenham Station 10-12 minutes by bus
• Strawberry Hill Station 12-minute walk
• Whitton Station – 15-minute walk
Bus routes: H22, 490 (Richmond–Heathrow Terminal 5), 267 and 281.
Fastest train journeys to London Waterloo:
• Twickenham – 24 minutes
• Whitton – 30 minutes
• Strawberry Hill - 31 minutes
Top tip: A second-hand town bike is a brilliant way to reach any of the three stations quickly.
Looking For
I'm looking for someone who is friendly, considerate and easy-going, takes pride in keeping shared spaces clean and tidy, and is respectful of the house and neighbours.
This isn't a party house, but friends and family are very welcome to visit and stay over occasionally with a little notice. There's also a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room for overnight guests.
About Me
I am a 46 year old female, I work in HR (financial services) in the city. I usually work from home 2–3 days a week and I enjoy being outdoors and active. You'll often find me paddleboarding, cycling, swimming, playing tennis or attempting to learn how to play golf!
I'd love to find someone who'll enjoy treating the house as a home and appreciates a relaxed, friendly and respectful place to live. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxed home and enjoy the occasional chat over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, we could be a good fit.
