Hey! I’m looking for a flatmate to move into my lovely ground floor flat right next to New Islington tram stop.

The room is available from the beginning of August and comes with exposed brick and its own en suite with shower.

A bit about the flat/room:

• Rent is £625 (it was £600 but they put it up from August), they typically put it up by £50 a year.
• Bills are roughly £200 per month, depending on the season and when I’m away I still split the bills asides from electric☺️
• Spacious room with loads of character (we get a lot of compliments when people come over!)
• Exposed brick feature wall
• Private en suite bathroom with toilet and shower
• Opposite New Islington tram stop (Vulcan Mill)
• Full fridge and a decent-sized freezer
• A home that’s very much lived in, social and welcoming with a lovely community of neighbours
• Concierge
• The room is available from early August however
I’m away for work until mid-August, but if you meet my former flatmate and we have a FaceTime etc, I’m happy to arrange an earlier move-in if needed!

A bit about me:
I’m Kerry! 27, self-employed and work as an actor, as well as doing content creation, so my schedule can be a bit all over the place. From November to January I’ll be out of the flat as I’m doing a pantomime down south, and outside of that I travel a lot for work too, sometimes I’m home for a few months, other times I’m away for weeks at a time.

I’m very social and love a night in, cooking, chatting, watching something in the living room, and generally making the flat feel like a proper home. I also really value my downtime though, so I’m equally someone who’ll disappear into my room for a quiet evening when I need to recharge. Ideally I’m looking for someone who gets that balance too!🤍

I love hosting friends at the flat from time to time, so I’d love to live with someone who’s up for a sociable home environment very much a “my friends are your friends” kind of energy. However, my room is between yours and the living room so if that’s not your vibe, you won’t be disturbed ☺️I’m really hoping to find a friend in a flatmate, not just someone to split bills with.

I’m part of the LGBT+ community, although I don’t really care for a label lol, so an ally is a must!
As I’m female, I would prefer someone also female or LGBT+ but not a dealbreaker ☺️🏳️‍🌈

As an actor, I may occasionally ask you to be a reader for self-tapes now and then, so bonus points if you don’t mind jumping in for the odd line reading 😂

I’m also a good cook, so there will usually be good food around!

I’d love to live with someone friendly, easygoing, communicative and up for creating a home rather than just renting a room. If that sounds like your kind of setup, drop me a message and tell me a bit about yourself and we could have a FaceTime!
