Hi, I'm Jay, my housemate got her dream job and is moving away at the beginning of November and so I'm looking for a new housemate as I love our flat and want to stay.

About the flat and room:
It's a 2 bed flat in the centre of Didsbury Village (2 min walk to the Aldi). There's a shared open plan living room/kitchen and shared bathroom with a bathtub/shower. There is a bit of a size difference between the two bedrooms, so open to talking about an unequal rent split to make it fair (current listed rent is the equal split: £975 total). The room is a good size with a sky light which opens, and a small double bed. It comes with the wardrobe, chest of drawers and a desk/chair. Council tax is band B, and gas/electric is about £30-35 pppm. We currently don't have WiFi, but will get that set up. We also don't have a TV but am looking to get one, and I've also got some pantry shelves I still need to put up next to the fridge so that there's more storage space. In order to sign the contract, you will need a valid UK guarantor too or be able to prove your income to the estate agents. The deposit is £562, spare room won't let me add it for some reason.

About me:
I'm a part-time masters student and part-time receptionist, so pretty busy life. I have too many hobbies to keep track of too which keeps things fun but my main ones are climbing and hiking/camping. I have a pet royal python (snake) called Goose who will be living in the flat too, she's super friendly and chill, and we can chat about whether her enclosure is in the living room or my room but being unafraid of snakes is a must! (you will fall in love with her when you see how goofy she is)

I'm super clean and tidy, and I want to live with someone who's also going to keep the shared spaces reasonably tidy and clean. I'm pretty sociable too, so ideally want to live with someone who'd like to hang out in the evenings occasionally too.

Queer friendly is a must, as I'm non-binary afab (they/them).

Send a message if you're interested! hoping to do interviews/viewings asap!
