Short-Term Let - Single Room

Hello,

I'm Claire and have a single spare room to rent in my house for a short-term let of approximately 2–3 months. The room is lovely, with wooden flooring and a built-in cupboard. At the moment it is furnished with a single bed with headboard, bedside table, desk and chair, and a wardrobe. The room is for single occupancy only.

The house has a large kitchen/dining area and lounge downstairs, as well as a bathroom with a toilet, shower and bath, which we would both use.

The neighbourhood is really friendly and quiet, with lots of families living in the area. I'm right next to the Fallowfield Triangle, which has lots of local shops, takeaways, an Aldi and the local library. I'm about 10 minutes in each direction from Withington and Chorlton, and just over 10 minutes from Levenshulme and Didsbury.

The house has both a front and back garden, with a seating area for enjoying the sunnier days.

I share the house with my very friendly and excitable little dog, who absolutely loves people. She can be quite jumpy and enthusiastic when meeting people, so it's important that you're a genuine dog person and comfortable around energetic dogs.

I'm a fairly quiet person and really value a calm, peaceful home environment. I don't drink, and I'm looking for a housemate who is friendly, considerate and easy to live with. Ideally, you'd be clean and tidy, enjoy a chat now and then, but also value your own space and quiet time.

Open communication is important to me, and I appreciate being able to talk things through if any issues arise. I mainly eat vegan/vegetarian food and would prefer a housemate with similar habits.

I host a weekly meditation group on Tuesday evenings, so I would need access to the lounge area for a few hours each week during that time.

I spend a lot of my free time outdoors, and most weekends you'll find me hiking, cycling or swimming in the Peaks. I also love cooking and occasionally having friends round for dinner.

A couple of practical things to note: I don't currently have Wi-Fi at the house, as I use unlimited mobile data and hotspot from my phone when I need internet access. There is also no TV in the house, although you're very welcome to have one in your room if you'd like.

I would also ask any housemate to bring their own kitchenware, utensils and cookware.
