Room to Rent – Calm, Respectful Home Environment
I’m a 41-year-old live-in landlord looking for a respectful, easygoing, and reliable person to rent a room in my home.
The room available is a furnished double bedroom in a comfortable and relaxed house with a lovely garden and outdoor space at the back of the property.
The house is in good condition throughout, and some areas have been updated since the current photos were taken. The room and house are all in good order, and I’m also open to making small decorating changes if needed so the space feels comfortable and homely for the right person.
I live a fairly calm and grounded lifestyle and value peace, privacy, and mutual respect at home. I’m friendly, approachable, and easy to get along with, while also respecting people’s personal space and independence.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit, hiking, travelling, nature, and reading. I appreciate a relaxed and positive home environment rather than a loud or party-style house.
I work full-time during the week, typically from around 7am to 5pm. I also have an 8-year-old child who stays with me at weekends occasionally, so I’m looking for someone mature, respectful, and considerate of the home environment.
Ideally, I’d like to start with an initial 3-month arrangement to make sure it’s a good fit for both sides, with the possibility of extending longer-term afterwards.
House preferences:

Occasional guests are fine, but please be respectful
Looking for someone clean, trustworthy, and straightforward to live with

Around a 10–15 minute walk to Heaton Chapel train station
Roughly 10 minutes into Manchester by train
Around 5 minutes into Stockport
Approximately 15 minutes’ walk to Heaton Moor, with great bars, cafés, restaurants, and the Savoy Cinema
Parking can be discussed, as I have two work vans, but arrangements can usually be worked out.
Overall, I’m simply looking for someone decent and respectful who wants a comfortable, peaceful, and friendly place to live.
