Double room free in our lovely home in M14

Hi everyone! We have a double bedroom available in our lovely 4-bed home in the Longsight/Levenshulme (M14) area 🌞

One of our housemates is moving out, so we have a room free from the 15th of October.

We're all mature students in our early-to-mid thirties, entering the 2nd year of our Masters. Luke is doing a part-time Creative Writing MA alongside his work with young people. Laura is doing a masters in Speech and Language Therapy, while Emilie is doing a masters in Occupational Therapy.

We’re looking for someone who would like to be part of a friendly home. Ideally this is someone with similar interests and values who would like to spend time together, whilst also enjoying their own space too.

We love anything from going out with friends for drinks, gigs, festivals and shows, to being in nature, swimming, yoga or running. And watching series together in between.

The house is really spacious and is spread across three floors, with:
- 4 double bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms (one downstairs behind the kitchen and one on the middle floor)
- A large living room with a great projector for series and movie nights
- A dining room, which we also use as a space for working from home, exercising, etc.
- A small front and back garden
- A large cellar
- Air fryer, tumble dryer and lots of kitchen equipment

We have an incredibly friendly and accommodating landlady who is flexible with furniture, so you can bring your own things or change things around if needed.

About The Room

The room pictured is the one available room. A couple of notes about the furniture:
- The full double bed currently shown is the current tenant's bed
- The room comes with a 3/4 double bed and mattress, which can be set up for the new tenant
- If you’re interested in keeping the larger double bed pictured, the current tenant is looking to sell it for a cheap price
- The chest isn't included it, but the darker wood drawers/cabinet are
- There is a rail available for clothes, but no wardrobe currently

Location

The house is on the border of Longsight and Rusholme, in a really convenient location for getting into town and Levenshulme on the 192 or 197 bus routes, one of which comes every 5 minutes.

It's a 5-10 minute walk to Lidl, ASDA, the market, and many restaurants and take-aways in Longsight.

We are close to Stockport Road, and under 10 minutes walk to Birchfields Park. There are a few other parks within 20 minutes walk, including Platt Fields.

Rent & Bills

Rent is £474 and bills are approximately £90–£100 per month, which inckides combined energy, water, WiFi and council tax.

We're in the council tax band C. We may receive a reduction of council tax depending on the total number of students, but the right fit with the right person is more important so we are open to both mature students and professionals.
