The location is ideal for day-to-day living. The Broughton Lane parade is about 2 minutes' walk, with a Nisa Local, post office, chemist, barbers and takeaways including Greek and Caribbean food. A large Lidl supermarket on Lower Broughton Road is about 8 minutes' walk, a Hong Kong-style cafe about 15 minutes' walk, and there is a Polish deli on Littleton Road just over a mile away.

Market Street and the Arndale are about 20 minutes away: buses run from Broughton Lane towards Shudehill and the city centre, and on foot it is about a 20-minute walk via the shortcut if you are a fast walker. The University of Salford is just under a mile, about 20 minutes' walk. Salford Central (1.1 miles) and Salford Crescent (1.2 miles) train stations are each about 25 minutes' walk.
