My housemate is moving out at the end of November to go into a tenancy with her friend, meaning their room has come up available. She will be a big miss but I’m hoping someone can come in to fill that gap!
About Me:
A little about me. I moved in a few months ago and have enjoyed it so far! For work, I have a job in public services Monday to Friday, mixing home working and office working depending on the day. I’m usually fairly relaxed on a weekday, either spending time at home, going to catch the football, or meeting up with friends. Outside of work, I usually spend time with family, visit friends, or try and see if there’s a decent gig on. I enjoy hiking (though I’m no expert and find myself getting lost fairly often), bike rides, or just seeing whatever comes up. Inside the home I am pretty clean, as tidy as it’s possible for a 27 year old lad to be, and try and find a balance between being social and enjoying my downtime to relax. Movie night, pub venture, or a little adventure I’m always down for.
About You:
It would be great for someone to move in that mirrors all of that while also enjoying their time inside and outside the flat around their plans. The neighbours are all really friendly and usually stick to themselves. It’s pretty quiet around here, with either young professionals or retirees making up most of the occupants so you have to be pretty mindful about making excessive noise or parties. The flat is also only suitable for professionals, so no students unfortunately.
About Here:
The home is a first floor, two bed flat with an open plan living room and kitchen. There are separate rooms for the toilet and bathroom. The room can run a little small but there is plenty of storage space across the rest of the flat, along with the bed being a double. It comes with a fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, and near enough anything you might need is already here. There is also plenty of space if you wanted to bring any of your own bits for the living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc., if you wanted to spread out and make it feel like home!
Price listed is just rent, with bills that can change depending on usage that month. Council Tax is Band B, coming in at around £75 each per month. Electric, WiFi, water and Gas together at the moment all together comes to about £108.00 each per month at the moment. The landlord is pretty calm and can be very responsive to issues, though I haven’t had to raise much since moving in. Signing up isn’t through a letting agent and is instead through Open Rent. Happy to share more details on this during a viewing but it was a fairly smooth process. The process includes a DPS and reference checks.
The building is part of a three building development with a green space in the middle. It makes for a nice view during the day. There are communal bins and a fair few parking spaces. If you use public transport, there are around a dozen buses that can get you into town. There are metro link stops a little further away, around a 15 minute, walk if needed. Mauldeth Road train station is also a similar distance away, with trains running between Manchester Airport and Liverpool fairly frequently. Being off a main road, you can hear passerbys and emergency services in the living room but it’s not excessive or too loud.
About Next:
If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a message! If it feels right for you, we can arrange a viewing starting in the next week or two. Move in date would have to be when my housemates tenancy ends on the 27th November 2026.
