Double Bed with new mattress

We've an upstairs, furnished double room to rent in a terraced house. The room looks over the back garden (and a trainline).

We're a sociable couple with a cat (called Storm) and we'd like to share our home with the right person. We do work from home - we're both freelancers - so the house will suit someone who doesn't work from home.

Ideally you're someone who likes cats and isn't a big meat eater (we're vegan/vegetarian).

The house is in a really great location, with Belle Vue park opposite and allotments all around us. We're a 20 minute walk into town and to the station.

There's one bathroom, but two toilets in the house.

We've lived in Newport for two years and in the past we've done lots of couchsurfing and workaways and so are used to sharing a space and sometimes meals.
