Double Room close to city centre - flexible terms

I have a spare room (double), approximately 10 minutes walk to Newport city centre. The room has a double bed and is furnished. My previous lodger of eight years has recently moved into his own place. We've added and removed furniture over the years so I'm happy to negotiate providing whatever you might need.

The room has been painted and recarpeted since these photos. It will be steam cleaned and painted again within the next week. There is a flat screen TV included.

You'd be sharing the house with myself. Although I work from home, I'm usually away from Friday until Tuesday.
High-speed fibre broadband internet is provided, along with all all other bills being included in the cost. Full use of all rooms, including bathroom with double shower and bath. There is also a sink and toilet upstairs.

Non-smokers only please, although electronic cigarettes are fine. Please be aware that I have two cats who pretty much look after themselves but will like a fuss if you're willing.
