This newly refurbished, sunny and quiet single garden room has its own cloakroom (toilet and sink) with full bathroom (bath and shower) next door. The mattress on the bed is new and is of a good quality. The room is furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, a side table and side light.
This room is quiet, private and overlooks the sunny garden. The house is a clean and well run property: everyone has their own cupboard in the kitchen, along with a marked shelf in the fridge and a freezer drawer.
The public spaces are cleaned weekly and well maintained, the property is kept in good condition. Cleaning materials, hoover, washing up liquid, bin bags, t towels, communal plates, saucepans, cutlery, glassware etc are provided.
Thoughtfulness to others is very important at Fernlea. We ask that tenants don't have parties. You can have a few friends over to sit in the garden or to watch something together on TV as long as it works with the other residents and doesn't disturb their sleep. There are three pubs and a wine bar in the village, which are the perfect place to meet friends and party.
There is a warm welcome for new tenants at Fernlea. We have a whatsapp group where you can ask others to take in your parcels or to share information. The whatsapp group is friendly and is a great way to communicate with each other. The landlord is happy to chat to everyone in a friendly way if there is a challenge.
This may sound harsh but: anti-social behaviour, or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. Under the new Renter's Rights Act we can still ask those who find it challenging to behave in a social way and fail to tidy up after themselves in the kitchen or to be quiet after 10pm to leave with sufficient notice to find themselves somewhere else to live.
We believe it is important that everyone can live peacefully in the house. We work hard to create a friendly atmosphere to make Fernlea a safe and comfortable place to live.
As well as your room (which can be locked when you are not using it), your rent includes all bills, excellent wifi, a parking space, use of a large lounge, kitchen, conservatory, small garden and laundry room.
The parking space for your vehicle is either at the front or the back of the property. You can bring a bike which can be kept in a locked shed. Fernlea has a bus stop to Lymington/ Southampton opposite and is 15 minutes walk to Brockenhurst high street, Brockenhurst railway station and the open forest .
