Room comes furnished with a new bed, wardrobe, dressing table, side table, it also has a lock on the door for peace of mind when you are out of the building.

25 minutes drive through the forest to Fawley avoiding the main roads, a good cycle if the mood took you.

Fernlea is within easy walk of Brockenhurst railway station and village. There is a fast train to Southampton and to Bournemouth. There is also a number 6 bus from Southampton to Lymington that stops just a few yards from the front door.

The friendly house has a well equipped kitchen, large lounge, conservatory used as a dining room, laundry room and garden. The residents working in the house go out to work in different patterns. Some work 9 - 5pm Monday to Friday and others work shifts across the week. It means that it is rare that everyone is using the kitchen or lounge at the same time.

The room also comes with an allocated cupboard in the kitchen to keep dried foods etc, an allocated shelf in both the fridge and the freezer. There are plenty of communal cups, glasses, plates, cutlery and cooking equipment such as saucepans and frying pans for everyone to use. We ask everyone to clean up after themselves including putting the washing up away after themselves. We also ask everyone to wipe down surfaces after using the kitchen. The kitchen is deep cleaned once a week. Bins are emptied by everyone as they get full.

Communal areas are cleaned regularly and the owner visits once a week to check the fire alarms, do compliance and to carry out any maintenance work. The owner is also the first point of contact if there are any problems with the room, neighbours in the house, or maintenance issues.

Your room rent includes all the bills. There is nothing else to pay other than the PAT test of your personal equipment. This is carried out annually.
