Furnished Room to Rent for Students

We are offering a fully furnished downstairs room in our spacious, welcoming family home in the historic village of Bursledon, an ideal location for a student or young person looking for a peaceful riverside setting with excellent transport links.

The house is located just a 1 minute walk from the beautiful Hamble River, with multiple local pubs nearby, and within walking distance of shops, cafés, and a library. Bursledon train station is only a 30-second walk away, providing direct and easy access to both Portsmouth and Southampton Universities, with journeys taking approximately 20 minutes. For those with a car, there is space available on the driveway, while the train station also benefits from a large, completely free car park.

The room itself is situated downstairs, right by the front door, offering a good degree of privacy. It is next door to a large bathroom, which would be shared with our 16-year-old student son. The room is fully furnished and can be adapted to suit your preferences. Thanks to its three external walls, it benefits from plenty of natural light throughout the day. It comes equipped with a TV, desk, full-length mirror, and ample storage, including drawers and clothing racks. The house also includes a large outbuilding equipped with gym equipment and a yoga space, which you would be very welcome to use.

My wife, son, and I all sleep upstairs, along with our friendly cockapoo, Eddie. The arrangement would be primarily self-catered, with dedicated shelves and storage space reserved for you in the kitchen. However, we are a friendly household and you would also be occasionally invited to join us for family meals.

This room would be especially well suited to a student or young person looking to enjoy village life in a lovely, quiet location while still having quick and easy access to university and nearby cities. Couples are welcome, however prices will be adapted to suit this.

My daughter will return home during the Christmas holidays, so you would need to make other arrangements during this three week period, but you would are welcome to leave your belongings here if required.
