A rare and special find. This gorgeous thatched cottage sits in 1.5 acres of garden and fields in the peaceful Bourne Valley countryside, yet has a pub, local shop and miles of footpaths all within walking distance.
Your space
You'll have a generous double bedroom with an adjoining room — perfect as a dressing room, walk-in wardrobe or cosy snug — and a private bathroom with shower. We're happy to furnish the extra room however suits you best.
The house
A charming 3–4 bed cottage with two living rooms and a beautifully equipped Neptune kitchen. The whole house is warm, cosy and full of character — just mind the low beams and doorways, and steep staircase, just as you'd expect from a proper cottage!
The ideal housemate
We'd love someone who appreciates peace and quiet and wants to truly make the most of this special home and its surroundings. You'll also be in good company — our friendly cat is always at home, and our loveable cockapoo visits when we're around. We'd be grateful if you'd be happy to animal-sit on occasion, which would be a huge help to us. In return for a reduction in rent, there's also an opportunity to help with some light cleaning and gardening — perfect if you enjoy pottering outdoors or keeping a lovely home.
Your housemates
We're a friendly family — a couple and our 12-year-old son — but we spend much of our time living on our canal boat, so you'll often have the run of the whole place.
Outside
A wonderful garden with plenty of space to enjoy — all set against open countryside.
