The house

This is a modern four-bedroom townhouse in a quiet cul-de-sac in Old Basing, shared by three established housemates. It's a friendly, relaxed home that is kept clean and tidy. It's sociable without being a party house, so we're looking for someone who enjoys living with other people but is equally happy doing their own thing.

The house has three bathrooms, a shared living room, a modern kitchen and a lawned rear garden, as well as a garage and plenty of on-road parking.

The kitchen was replaced in 2022 and has lots of cupboard and storage space, plus a washing machine, tumble dryer, double oven, gas hob, large fridge and an additional fridge-freezer. The living room has a large TV, with Netflix included, and the house has unlimited broadband and a good mobile/5G signal.

The room - £625 pcm including bills

The available room is a furnished double on the ground floor, overlooking the front garden. It has a double bed with a good-quality mattress, chest of drawers, wardrobe, additional storage and curtains.

The bathroom is shared with just one other housemate, who keeps it extremely clean, so we're particularly looking for somebody who is equally clean and considerate about shared spaces.

The location

The house is in a quiet residential cul-de-sac with good access to Basingstoke town centre and the surrounding area. Chineham retail park, with Tesco, Boots, Next and other shops, is only a short drive away.

Who we're looking for

The existing housemates are friendly, easy-going professionals and we'd really like to find someone who will fit naturally into the household.

The best fit would be another working professional who is friendly, considerate, genuinely clean and tidy, and happy to be part of a sociable but calm house. This isn't a party house, but equally we're not looking for somebody who wants to disappear into their bedroom and never speak to anyone!

The tenancy

Rent is £625 per calendar month including bills, payable monthly in advance, with a £625 deposit.

References will be required, for example from an employer, previous landlord or another suitable referee depending on circumstances.
