We have a large, comfortable furnished double room available in our quiet, well-maintained family home.

We are live-in landlords and are looking for an independent, considerate person who is looking for a settled home rather than a busy house-share environment.

The room may particularly suit a professional, postgraduate, mature student or someone relocating to Portsmouth.

Please note: we have a friendly family dog who is part of the household.

On street parking outside the house with no permit available - one of the only areas in Southsea with free parking.

The household

This is our family home, and we value a quiet, clean and respectful environment.

We are looking for someone who is independent and considerate of shared spaces and who is happy living in an owner-occupied home.

We are not a party house and would suit someone who does not require frequent visitors or overnight guests.

We would ideally like someone looking for a longer-term arrangement preferably 12 months or more.

Location & transport

The house is well connected by public transport, with the U2 bus stop very close to the house and the No. 13 also nearby, providing convenient access towards Portsmouth and the university.

Fratton station is approximately 10–15 minutes' walk away, with St Mary's Hospital also within easy walking distance. Local shops and other amenities are close by.

Weekday option

For the right person, we may also consider a Monday-to-Friday arrangement at £600 pcm.

Before any agreement is made, we will carry out the appropriate right to rent check and any relevant referencing/document checks and we would require £695 rent as a deposit and rent will be paid monthly in advance. For international students payment will be upfront and for domestic students a semester in advance as per current practice.
