Double room in 2-bed Penthouse apartment ✨

My current flatmate is moving out, so I’m looking for someone to share my 2-bed flat in central Southsea.

I’ve been living here for almost 2 years and rent through a private landlord. The flat is in a great location, just a stone’s throw from Palmerston Road, with plenty of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants nearby. We also have a wraparound balcony with sea views!

The flat is mostly furnished with my own furniture, so the communal areas are all set up. The available bedroom comes with a small double bed if needed, but is otherwise unfurnished, so there's space to make it your own. There’s also a huge, secure storage space in the basement of the building.

A little about me

You’d be sharing with me, a 36-year-old professional working at the University of Portsmouth. I split my working week between home and the office and am pretty easy-going and relaxed at home.

I enjoy cooking, getting into a good TV series or curling up with a book. I still enjoy the occasional night out, but I’m definitely more of a homebody these days!

Ideally, I’d like to find someone who enjoys a friendly, sociable home where we can share the odd meal, have a chat or watch some TV together, but equally appreciates having their own space and downtime. It would be nice for the flat to feel like a shared home rather than just somewhere we both happen to live.

- Rent: £650 per month (excluding bills)
- Council tax: £75 per month each
- Electricity: Varies monthly depending on usage
Broadband: Virgin media £27 each/month
- Parking: On-street permit parking is available, and there may also be a private off-street parking space available for an additional cost
