Double room in our home

Lounge

We have a double room available in our home, with a built in robe, lots of shelving, a chest of drawers, bookcase, desk & chair with a comfy double bed available from the middle/end of September; it is a centrally heated home.

There is a small lawned area at the rear of the house with a paved area for the outdoor table and chairs. There is a TV in the dining room on WIFI and a TV in the lounge with set top box for recording etc.

The kitchen has all the usual things plenty of pots, pans, gadgets, oven microwave etc. At the end of the kitchen is the laundry where there is a large laundry cupboard, a further toilet and wash hand basin plus the washing machine with a cupboard over.. Iron and ironing board are kept in there too.

The house is a small semi detached in Woolston, we have permit parking on one side of the road, but the other side is unlimited. There is a small paved area to the front of our home too.

It is minutes away from the bus route into Southampton, but for those who like to keep fit, it really is a short (over the Itchen Bridge) walk into the city. The train station is within a couple of minutes walk too. Very close to a choice of 3 medical centres, all within a few minutes walk.

We are an older couple who enjoy travelling around as much as we can, going housesitting in Uk and Europe or even in Australia. We try to go over to Australia every year for a couple of months, longer if we can! to see our boys and their families for Christmas. We not only benefit from having the wonderful Summers in Australia, but we also avoid the winters here! We reckon we do have the best of both worlds.

All bills are included in the amount charged, however, that is providing you use a sensible amount of the utilities. Also providing there are no big increases with the various utility companies. We have good internet speeds, with TalkTalk, never had any problems with them at all.

We are looking for a friendly, responsible person - no couples please, to share our home with. We are looking for a sociable person who is not a party person, definitely no drugs or heavy drinking.
