I am offering a beautiful and spacious downstairs double room in my home for rent to someone quiet and respectful who would enjoy some access to the countryside while having excellent links into the hubbub of London. A love of the Arts would be lovely but is not a requirement!!
Council Tax and bills are included in the rent.
The room itself has a wooden floor and furnishings, a wide-screen, wall-mounted TV, an alabaster mantelpiece and open fire (in addition to a radiator) and a luxurious wooden bed.
The rental includes use of a separate, sea-themed Kitchen/Utility room and a colourful walk-in shower room, both of which are minimally shared with the owner.
An entrance to the side of the house at the back of the Kitchen/Utility room opens out onto a small, private, outdoor sitting space. Use of the garden may be possible by arrangement.
The room also opens out onto a bright Conservatory which is, again, by mutual arrangement, shared.
The house is situated in the historic village of Kings Langley, a short walk from all amenities (listed below).
Kings Langley is excellently placed for travelling anywhere in the country. The station is a 4 minute car ride or 25 minute comfortable walk from the house and has trains leaving every half an hour which will either speed you to Euston in central London in just 30 minutes, or North towards Milton Keynes or Northampton. Junction 20 of the M25 is a 5 minute drive from the door and from there road connections are easily made to the M1 North (5 minutes), M4 West (15 minutes) or South or East around the M25.
The village boasts a Post Office, two pubs, two café/delis, a bespoke wine seller, several gift/clothes shops, a butcher and general Spar store as well as several beauticians, a hairdresser, doctors' and dentists' surgeries, a library, a charity shop, a community centre and several churches all with rooms to hire.
Kings Langley also has its own amdram and musical theatre societies as well as a choir should the muse be calling!!
The local common can be accessed by foot through woods very close to the house. We have a local farm wtih a shop selling unpasteurised milk and a variety of produce just 10 minutes' walk away and beyond that there are fields for countryside walks.
Other local villages are also very pretty to visit and Chipperfield, just a 10 minute drive away, has a lovely woodland walk.
