Double room - village location near Hitchin

I’m looking for someone to share my lovely home in the beautiful village of Shillington. It’s a peaceful location overlooking a sunflower field, with birdsong instead of traffic noise, a great place to decompress after work.

Shillington has a really peaceful village feel with good amenities. There are two pubs, a village shop, a church and a social club, and Hitchin town centre is only a short drive away (Uber is also available).

The house is spacious, bright and well equipped, with:

* Large kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and all the essentials.
* Spacious living room with patio doors opening onto the garden.
* Separate dining room, with a corner that could be used as your own snug or reading/work space if you’d like.
* Large family bathroom with waterfall shower plus a downstairs WC.
* Third bedroom used as an office and storage room.
* Garage available for bike storage.
* Off-road parking space at the rear of the property, plus on-street parking right outside

The room is a generous double and currently includes:

* Wardrobe
* Chest of drawers
* Curtains
* TV

I’m yet to purchase a bed, so I’d be happy to discuss preferences with the successful lodger. The room is currently painted a soft grey/purple, but if you’re planning to stay for a while I’d also be happy for you to decorate it in a colour that feels like home.

I’m a professional working in education. I’m easy-going, considerate and emotionally intelligent. Always happy for a chat and a laugh, but equally respectful of personal space and quiet time.

I’m not looking for a particular age, gender or background. More importantly, I’d love to live with someone who is kind, respectful, tidy and makes the most of life. If you’re the sort of person who values a relaxed, friendly home where everyone treats each other well, we’ll probably get on.
