This is an ideal arrangement for a professional looking for a comfortable, high-quality weekday base, with arrival on Sunday and departure by Thursday. The room is available Sunday through Wednesday nights, with the property returning to family use from Thursday.

About the owner

I'm a senior management consultant. I typically work from home two days a week and in London two or three days a week, so I'm regularly away during the working week.

I'm a clean, tidy and well-organised person and take pride in keeping the house clean, comfortable and well maintained. I'm looking for someone similarly considerate and respectful who would enjoy a peaceful home rather than a busy house-share environment.

The house

The property is a substantial 1,800 sq ft five-bedroom home with plenty of communal space, including:

- Large kitchen/diner with a state-of-the-art induction hob and quality French induction cookware
- Large fridge/freezer in the kitchen plus an additional fridge/freezer in the garage

- Smart-home features including robot vacuum/mopping machine and automated lawn mower

The house is fully equipped and maintained to a high standard, with plenty of room to relax and work comfortably.

The room & private bathroom

A furnished double bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and desk.

It also has a 40-inch wall-mounted TV with Amazon and Netflix.

The room has a separate private bathroom, which includes a bath, separate shower, wash basin and toilet. The owner has their own en-suite bathroom, so the private bathroom is for the lodger's sole use while they are staying at the house.

The area

The house is in a peaceful village setting with excellent countryside walks nearby, while still being very well connected.

There are several good pubs and restaurants within walking distance, along with a nearby park and other local amenities.

For commuters, the M20 and A2 are easily accessible, providing convenient road connections towards London, Maidstone and across Kent and the wider South East.

There are also good rail connections from Marden, Staplehurst and Maidstone, making the location particularly convenient for London commuters.
