Sunny single Room in owners house

Single room

I am looking for someone to rent the spare room in my home. It is a large single, south facing room.

Must like cats.

Available from from 15th August.

Council Tax and Utility bills are included in the rent.

The room is furnished. Raidiator. Single bed (I can supply bedding if needed.). Bedside table and light. Large wardrobe, shelving, chest of drawers. Small formica table with flaps. Anglepoise light. A couple of chairs, one doubling as library steps. Airer - for when you can't dry things outside. There are also drying racks that can be used on the radiator.

Shared kitchen, bathroom (in the process of being decorated), sitting room, and garden. The garden wraps around three sides of the house and has a clothesline in one part. In the summer there is access to outside seating.

Kitchen has Washer/Dryer, microwave, 5 ring hob and Fan assisted oven.

There is a pulley washing line in the garden. Tons of pegs.

There is WiFi.

I don't smoke so only NON SMOKERS should apply.

I don't eat meat; but I am not squeamish if some meat comes into the house.

I am in The Strand area (near the river). Gillingham train station is just under a mile from the house.

There is a car park at the station if you prefer to drive.

There is on street parking here.

Sadly, no bus will take you within any reasonable distance of the station, but there are two buses that go to Chatham from near the house. One goes via Gillingham and the hospital, and the other via Dockside Outlet centre.

I am 1.5 miles from Medway Maritime Hospital, walkable in around 30mins, or there is the bus, mentioned above, that stops near the house and takes you right into the hospital grounds.

The Medway campuses of the Universities of Greenwich and Kent are also nearby. The other bus goes to some of those campuses.

If you are into swimming; I am 5mins walk from The Strand Lido. Or if you prefer Wild Swimming, the river is the same distance.

There is a social club opposite the house. But it is a very quiet place.

This is a creative household, so you might find various projects going on in the garden or kitchen. I work in the arts so have no regular hours. I love gardening, watching TV detective programmes, and listening to Radio 4. Occasionally I will also play and rehearse music, but there would be plenty of warning about any of that.
